The Canari Cyclewear Men’s M Gel Cycling Liner Short turns a short into a cycling short when worn as an under garment. Personally I just wear them under my regular baggy cycling shorts for the padding and easy washing.

What is good about this Cycling Liner Short

Padding – for protection while cycling against saddle sores and chafing, particularly if on a long ride. The gel system is designed to spread the shock throughout while riding. This gel will not overheat and migrate or leak unlike petroleum based styles.

Breathable Fabric – lightweight polyester with a durable mesh fabric which breathes well.

Construction – 4 panels along with a 1 1 /2” waistband and padding.

What customers say Canari Cyclewear Men’s M Gel Cycling Liner Short

There were lots of positive reviews about these bike liner shorts. One reviewer stated that “a secret known by pro cyclists for years is that wearing two pairs of cycling shorts is a good way to add protection against saddle sores and chafing” and I agree.

Several reviewers mentioned that although these may be intended to be worn under regular shorts to make them usable for cycling, but an even better use for them is to wear them inside padded cycling shorts for added padding which is what I personally do as well.

Numerous reviewers found them comfortable to ride in, felt the padding is perfect and not excessive in size or thickness and that the shorts do not ride up at all. The also said that the wicking seems fine.

There were mixed reviews regarding the padding with many remarking that the material appears to be resistant to wear and the pad provides good cushioning while other felt the padding was too thin.

One reviewer said, “I just completed the Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska which was seven straight days in the saddle averaging 65 to 70 hard miles each day, some of which was over some pretty choppy road surfaces. I wore quality cycling shorts with Canari Gel Cycle Liners under them every day and had zero hot spots or saddle sores.”

First pair, but i LOVE them Only used these shorts twice, but I love them!Comfortable to ride in, padding is perfect and not excessive in size or thickness. Also, the thigh elastic is not too tight and does not pull on my insanely hairy legs (huge plus) but shorts do not ride up at all. Ventilation/wicking seems fine. I’m a 31-32″ waist, 6’0″ and weigh 175 pounds and the Medium size fits me perfect :-)I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a cheap pair of cycling shorts. You will enjoy them. Actually about to buy another pair right now =D

Nice first purchase for bike shorts I purchased a large size of these as my first foray into bike shorts. I’m happy with this purchase. I’m 6’0″ and 175 lbs and ride a 700c bicycle in a casual 15-20 mile max ride in rural MA. These shorts are comfortable for the most part – I’ve not experienced any chafing or sores. There has been one or two occasions where I wished there was a bit more padding, as I currently do not use a gel seat. The fabric and construction of the shorts have held up well so far with no tearing or fraying at the seams. The basic black looks good with almost any outfit and can also be worn underneath other pants for the cool fall or early spring rides. I would purchase these again.
