What users say about these Pearl Izumi Men’s Bib Shorts

There were many positive reviews for these bib shorts with most remarking how very comfortable they are to wear when cycling and off the bike when walking around. One cyclist felt he is riding faster and stronger because of them.

Many reviewers find the quality of Pearl Izumi apparel is always good. One reviewers said, “I’m a big fan of Pearl Izumi bibshorts, owning several pairs. The Elite line is not their top-of-the-line shorts (which is the “Pro” line), but these are typically half of the price, and much more comfortable than the cheaper lines (e.g., “Attack” or “Quest”). For any ride under a century, I find the Elite to be great fitting and have sufficient padding to allow for hours of comfort in the saddle.”

Reviewers liked the padding saying the chamois is nice and fabric is fantastic, one of the best I’ve ridden on said one cyclist.

Reviewers also said these bike bib shorts dry quickly so you can wash them at night and they are ready to wear the following morning.

A few reviewers thought the fit was a bit off and recommended going one size larger.

Illinois Guy says:

Very Nice Bib Shorts! I now own a second pair as it was on sale over 40% off. I love these bib shorts so much that I ordered a second pair when the price dropped to ~$77.I don’t wish to purchase these at full price.I’m 5’6″, 190 pounds. My stomach (not underbelly waist) circumference is about 40″.X-Large size for me fits nicely.I prefer bibs rather than shorts as my stomach is not exactly flat (working on it).The quality is excellent.I like the style when matched with the Pearl Izumi – Ride Men’s Select Tour Jersey of the same color (red or blue).

Ronin says:

Nice bibs! These Pearl Izumi bib shorts fit true to size and are excellent quality. Things I like about them: (1) nice, traditional-style chamois rather than the newer “bumpy/lumpy” style chamois, (2) the legs are pretty long compared to other brands, (3) the legs cuffs have silicone grippers in addition to a compression cuff to help keep them in place, (4) the straps are a little wider than other brands, (5) decent price. I actually like these Elites more than the higher priced Pros. For sizing reference: I’m 6’4″ tall and weigh about 225 lbs. with a 36-37 inch waist. The XL’s fit me perfectly.

TRob says:

They fit well and are comfortable. The chamois is decent and not too thick I’ve put about 300 miles on these bibs since I got them last month. They fit well and are comfortable. The chamois is decent and not too thick. The leg bands are wide and very comfortable and grip well. The overall material is of good quality and seems like they’ll last a long time. Most of my rides are 30-50 miles in length, 5 days a week so they’re holding up well. Not the best bibs I’ve ever had but for the price they are worth it.
