Reviews of Gore Bike Wear Men’s Path Pants

Lots of great reviews on the Amazon site which most cyclists loving how it protects them from the rain. I like and use some Gore-Tex products and have found their claim regarding weather protection to be really helpful when I do get caught in the rain which is usually when I am bicycle touring.

The reviewer found  these paints are incredibly light weight and have great features. They fit loosely but feature two Velcro tightening straps on each leg that tighten the pants around your calves making them incredibly universal in regards to size.

They also feature a large mesh pocket in the back which I’ve found is great for storing my gloves and face mask. I also found these pants to be highly versatile for many different types of weather. They’re obviously completely waterproof, but so light weight and breathable you can simply wear them over your bike shorts so as to not over heat and stay dry in the rain.

Perfect for mid Atlantic commuting These fit nice and loose but tight on the ankles, where you need them tight. The reinforcement in the crotch and ankles ( where they’re exposed to the chain) looks like it will hold up for decades.

Not waterproof I was stunned when I opened the package and read the literature to find that these pants are described on the label as “water resistant,” not waterproof. Given the reputation of the Gore name, I assumed that they were waterproof. Furthermore, these came up under a search for waterproof pants. Since I want to keep my clothes dry underneath, water resistant is just not going to cut it. They’ll be returned for sure. The seller should improve the description on this page to clarify that they are water resistant to avoid confused shoppers
