What is good about this Cycling Liner Short

Comfortable padding –  the gel chamois with soft fleece top layer eliminates stress points and reduces road vibration for protection while cycling against saddle sores and chafing, particularly if on a long ride. The gel system is designed to spread the shock throughout while riding and this gel will not overheat and migrate or leak unlike petroleum based styles.

Fabric that breathes – lightweight durable mesh polyester fabric that is light weight, moisture wicking, breathable and quick drying.

Solid construction – 4 panels along with a 1 1 /2” waistband and padding. Leg gripers ensure it will not ride up.

What customers say Canari Cyclewear Men’s M Gel Cycling Liner Short

There were lots of positive reviews about these cycling liner shorts. Numerous women stated they wear them alone as shorts as nobody can tell, although many also use them for the intended purpose as a liner.

Also many reviewers find the padding is excellent and commented these are the most comfortable bike shorts they have worn. They provide a great fit, breathe and offer the perfect amount of padding when on a bike.

One issue mentioned by many was that size wise they run a little large. A few reviewers mentioned they would like more padding as well, but most felt there was sufficient padding.

Many women felt this liner made a difference to their riding experience. One reviewer remarked, “on my old mountain bike I had a very cushion-y gel saddle which was heaven on my “sit bones”, but I found that I needed some help in, how can I say….”another sensitive area”. These liners did the trick”

Nope — just spend a little more. As many reviews state the legs are a bit on the small side. They are really tight and I don’t think they’d ride up. However they are so tight that there really isn’t any elastic feel in the leg and it’s just kinda painful. For me they were too tight in my thighs and almost too loose in the butt, so it didn’t make any sense to try a size up. I was quite disappointed with the many glowing reviews for these, they are actually pretty terrible. As many have told me, and as I’m starting to learn — price and relation to quality/fit bike shorts is quite true. I found even on the “cheaper” end — Peral Izumi’s Canyon Shorts (and liners) are pretty sweet.

Improves Riding Comfort, But Beware… These padded cycling briefs definitely make my bike rides MUCH more comfortable. I am able to ride longer with a lot less discomfort. My only complaint is that they are very tight around the leg openings. My legs are pretty average size, but they fit like a sausage casing. Meaning, when I looked in the mirror, I could see where my legs were indented from this product, even through the leggings I was wearing. The waist fit me perfectly, so going up another size would have made them too big. I think that these would work best for someone who has legs that are thinner than average. I would not recommend them to anyone with average or larger than average thighs.

So-so cycling shorts I am not totally impressed with these compared to other cycling shorts I’ve had.Pros:- Fabric is a super soft mesh that’s not completely see through, as other liner shorts I’ve seen.- High-waisted, so good coverageCons:- The sizing/shape is very odd. The legs are kind of tight while the hips & waist are loose and the waistband is not adjustable – I fee like the top of the shorts would slide or roll down as I ride- The grippy part of the leg is a wee bit too tight.- The padding area is weirdly placed, with almost no padding at the front part of the crotch (bad if you have a more aggressive riding position I would think) and very thick padding at the rear (which is probably great if you ride more upright), and I was hoping for a more even distribution of padding since I commute to work on my bike and often change positions as I ride depending on the terrain.Overall I don’t think these will necessarily work for me, but…
